UGA West Campus Dining, Learning, Well-Being Center
New Model for Connected Student Life
The West Campus Dining, Learning, and Well-being Center will support approximately 5,000 first-year and upper-class students in the Unviersity of Georgia’s West Campus Precinct. Designed to address enrollment growth, the facility will enhance dining, learning, and wellness services for current and future students.
The three-story building will feature two levels of dining, including an 800-seat dining facility with five restaurant offerings and self-service options. A 400-square-foot private dining space will provide flexibility for group reservations, student organizations, and overflow seating.
Approximately half of the first floor will house active learning classrooms designed for 24, 48, and 75 students each, which will also function as reservable meeting rooms for student organizations during evenings. The other half will accommodate expanded medical and mental health services, offering urgent care and counseling in a location convenient for West Campus residents, with extended hours to meet students’ needs. Additionally, the floor will include a residential-style demonstration kitchen and collaborative workspace for Dining Services and University Health Center staff. This area will focus on nutrition education, recipe development, and culinary training to promote student well-being.
