Georgia Tech Ford Auditorium Renovation

High-Performance Learning, Seamlessly Delivered

This renovation of an auditorium in Georgia Tech’s Environmental Science and Technology Building highlights our expertise in designing advanced instructional spaces within fully operational academic facilities. Located on the first floor, the auditorium was reimagined to deliver a high-performance learning environment that supports both lecture and interactive teaching formats — all while minimizing disruption to adjacent classrooms, labs, and faculty offices throughout construction.

The project scope included new flooring, ceilings, and finishes within the auditorium, control room, and adjacent storage areas. At the heart of the renovation is a suite of upgrades focused on cutting-edge acoustics, audio-visual systems, and architectural lighting. Angled ceilings were introduced to optimize sound quality and reduce acoustic shadows, enabling clear communication throughout the space.

New fixed tables with integrated technology and adjustable, pull-out seating were installed to accommodate 110 students, combining ergonomic comfort with digital readiness. Despite the complexity of the upgrades, all construction activities were carefully phased and coordinated to avoid interference with daily campus operations — demonstrating our ability to deliver precision-focused renovations in high-use, occupied academic buildings.
