Preparing the Next Generation of Healthcare Workers

The project is a renovation to an existing Simulation Lab space for training staff/students in the Atrium Health Floyd Market. The project aimed to add a Primary Care Sim Lab and an ICU Sim Lab that match Atrium Health’s latest hospital standard. Students train, are observed during simulation, and debrief with their instructor. Virtual monitoring equipment allows the instructor to observe the student from the debrief room, while the Viewing Hall supports traditional observation methods and accommodates group observation. The new space also includes a student work area.
