Historic Warehouse Transformed for Art and Innovation

This project was a renovation and expansion of an existing ceramics studio within an existing brick warehouse on the Summerville campus of Augusta University.

A physics laboratory was also added to the warehouse adjacent to the ceramics studio space. Existing ceilings were removed to expose the historic structure above. New storefront and glass rollup doors bring daylight and views throughout the space.

This renovation helps the art department recruit the top students and instructors to their program.
